The 11th Annual 2025 Lifeline 100 A Rousing Success & Supports local Non-Profits!

On October 5, the Anne Arundel County Lifeline 100 Bicycle Event celebrated its 11th annual community ride. The event had over 810 registrants, with support from over 100 volunteers and more than 25 sponsors. The event featured rides of 15, 30, 65, and 100 miles, showcasing the county’s scenic trails and byways. Additionally, nearly 100 children and families participated in the free Children’s Bike Rodeo and Family Fun Safari Ride at Kinder Farm Park. This annual event is hosted by a special partnership of the Anne Arundel County Police Department, Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks, and Bicycle Advocates for Annapolis & Anne Arundel County (“BikeAAA”). Since its inaugural ride in 2014, the event has generated over $450,000 in proceeds for local non-profits.

This year’s proceeds of $28,000 were generated by registration fees, sponsorships and other in-kind

support. During Hunger Action Month in September, Lifeline 100 donated $2,000 to

the Anne Arundel County Food Bank, which partners with BikeAAA on other

programs, including Wheels of Hope.

The following donations were made on October 14, during the Anne Arundel County Bicycle Advisory Commission meeting at the Arundel Center attended by County Budget Officer Chris Trumbauer.

● Anne Arundel Crisis Response System $9,000

● Bicycle Advocates for Annapolis & Anne Arundel County $8,500

● Friends of Anne Arundel County Trails $4,250

● Friends of Kinder Farm Park $4,250

The annual Lifeline 100 event is a community experience for people of all ages and abilities and exemplifies the power of partnership among county agencies and non-profits. The event has received the Innovative Program Award from the Maryland Recreation and Parks Association and, in 2015, won the Maryland, My Maryland Special Event of the Year.
