In recognition of Hunger Action Month this September, the Lifeline 100 will donate 30% of all registration fees collected (up to $2,500) from September 1-11 to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank (AACFB). The COVID 19 pandemic has had a significant detrimental impact on food security in Anne Arundel County. Since March 2020, AACFB has witnessed a significant increase in the number of people seeking assistance at food pantries and, in response, distributed nearly 10.8 million pounds of food throughout Anne Arundel County. Today, AACFB continues to see an average of nearly 39,000 people per month that rely on its food and basic necessity programs. We are especially pleased to support AACFB as they are also our partner in the Wheels of Hope bike refurbishment program.
So if you’ve been waiting to register for this year’s event, now is a great time to register and also help end hunger in Anne Arundel County and before registration fees increase on September 12. This year’s October 2nd event will feature 15 and 30 mile paved trail rides and 65 and 100 mile scenic tours including historic Annapolis, Chesapeake Bay and more!
